
Yajur House Wins Inter-House Swimming Championship Trophy
21st May 2026, Dehradun : The Aryan School organised its much-awaited Annual Aquatic Meet today at the school swimming pool, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students across all four houses — Atharva, Sama, Rig, and Yajur. The event brought together young swimmers in a spirited display of talent, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The program commenced with a melodious welcome song presented by the school choir. The meet was formally declared open by the Principal B Dasgupta, who motivated the students to compete with confidence, fairness, and determination while upholding the true spirit of sportsmanship.
The competition featured a series of exciting swimming events including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and mixed relay races. Students showcased remarkable stamina, technique, and perseverance as they competed enthusiastically amid loud cheers from fellow students, teachers, and parents.
After an intense series of races, Yajur House emerged victorious and lifted the Inter-House Champions Trophy for their outstanding overall performance.
Individual excellence was also recognised during the event. Vivaan Singh was declared the Best Swimmer in the Sub Junior Boys category, while Arhant secured the title in Junior Boys and Shourya Rawat was adjudged Best Swimmer in the Senior Boys category. In the girls’ categories, Manasvi Khatri won the Best Swimmer title in Junior Girls, while Nivedita Bhardwaj was awarded Best Swimmer in the Senior Girls category.
Addressing the gathering, Principal B. Dasgupta congratulated the students and appreciated their dedication and enthusiasm. She said, “The Aquatic Meet is not merely a sporting competition but a celebration of perseverance, discipline, and teamwork. It is heartening to witness our students challenge themselves and encourage one another throughout the event. I congratulate every participant for their commendable efforts.”
