Tula’s Institute Launches Technology Resource Centre to Empower Uttarakhand Villages

Dehradun, 8th April 2024: Tula’s Institute inaugurated the Tula’s Technology Resource Centre (TRC) with an aim to empower the villages of Uttarakhand. Funded by the Uttarakhand Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), Government of Uttarakhand, the TRC aims to foster innovation, provide quality education, and nurture technical skills among students while simultaneously addressing the pressing need for livelihood generation in adopted villages across the state.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of dignitaries including the Chief Guest, Professor (Dr) Anita Rawat, Director of USERC, Government of Uttarakhand, along with Executive Director of Tula’s Institute Silky Jain Marwah, Vice President of Tula’s Group Raunak Jain, Vice President Technology, Tula’s Institute Dr Raghav Garg, Director, Tula’s Institute Professor Sandip Vijay, Dean Academics Professor Nishant Saxena, Dean R&D Dr Sunil Semwal, and PI TRC and Coordinator R&D Dr Tripuresh Joshi. Their collective vision emphasized the commitment to empowering economically backward communities through education and skill development.

“The TRC serves as a pivotal platform for training aimed at employment generation. It is equipped with state-of-the-art resources including advanced sewing and bakery machines, poised to impart practical skills essential for livelihood enhancement. The facility is not only about imparting technical education but also about integrating adopted villagers with the resources of Tula’s Institute to create sustainable employment opportunities”, stated Silky Jain Marwah, Executive Director of Tula’s Institute.
