
Dance, music, theatre and fashion events mark the first day
Dehradun: The annual cultural fest ‘Sanskriti 2026’ commenced at Tula’s Institute today, marking the beginning of a two-day celebration of student talent and participation. The fest witnessed active involvement from students of Tula’s Institute as well as participants from other colleges and universities.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chairman of Tula’s Group Sunil Kumar Jain, Secretary Sangeeta Jain, Vice Chairman Raunak Jain, Executive Director of Tula’s Institute Silky Jain Marwah, Co-founder of Netpuppys Pratik Marwah, Radhika Jain, and Director of Tula’s Institute Dr. Shailendra Kumar Tiwary, along with other dignitaries.
The program commenced with the lamp-lighting ceremony followed by the National Anthem.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Sunil Kumar Jain congratulated the students, faculty, and organizing team for their efforts in organizing the fest. He said, “Sanskriti is an important platform for students to express their creativity and talent beyond academics. It is encouraging to see such enthusiastic participation not only from our students but also from students of other institutions. Events like these help in building confidence, teamwork, and a spirit of healthy competition. I congratulate everyone involved in making this event a success and encourage all participants to make the most of this opportunity.”
The event also included a prize distribution ceremony recognizing the academic achievers of the 2025–26 session for their performance and dedication.
A panel of judges, including Ashu Satvika Goyal, Kshitij Chopra, and Vivek Nand, assessed the performances across various categories.
The first day of Sanskriti 2026 featured a wide range of cultural performances across different categories. In the solo dance category, performances were presented by Abhishek, Navajsh, and Divyanshi, each showcasing their individual style and stage presence. The duet dance category included performances by Divyanshi and Sneha, Ishita and Gaurav, and Khushi Gangola and Oskar Rana, who performed coordinated routines.
In the group dance category, teams such as The Trons, Hip Hop (Swing Squad), and Rhythm Dance presented energetic performances. The solo singing category featured performances by Ashi Sharma, Dhruv, Ashish Sharma, Kush, and Bhumika Bhatt, while the duet singing category included acts by Abhinav and Kush, Anmol Tyagi, Rishabh and Rohit, Sheetal and Saniya, Sagar and Ritesh, and Dhruv and Piyush.
The cultural lineup also included a theatre performance titled Swaraj Ka Yudh, presented as part of the theatre act category. In addition, fashion shows were presented by Team Venetian x Catholic x Divinity, Team Dune, and Walk Against Racism, each showcasing themed presentations.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chairman of Tula’s Group Raunak Jain, said, “Sanskriti reflects the energy, talent, and diversity of students coming together on one platform. It is not only about competition but also about learning, collaboration, and self-expression. Such events play a significant role in the overall development of students by giving them opportunities to explore their interests and showcase their abilities.”
Also present on the occasion were Sudheer Matta, Renu Matta, Director of Tula’s Institute of Pharmacy Dr. Deepak Nanda, Additional Director Dr. Nishant Saxena, Registrar Dr. Vijay Kumar Upadhyay, Principal of Tula’s International School Raman Kaushal Thapa, along with faculty members and heads of departments.
The second day of the fest will feature a live performance by renowned Bollywood singer Armaan Malik, which will turn out to be the key highlight of the event.
