
Dehradun: Celebrating creativity, collaboration, and cinematic expression, the CBSE Sahodaya Inter-School Film Making & Presentation Festival, concluded on a high note with enthusiastic participation from young filmmakers across leading schools of the region within the premises of Olympus High School.
The two-day festival was graced by Chief Guest Meenakshi Gandotra, Principal of Jaswant Modern Senior Secondary School and Secretary, CBSE Sahodaya Schools Complex, along with Guest of Honour Ruma Malhotra, Principal of Himjyoti School. The event was also marked by the presence of Managing Director of Olympus High Dr. Kunal Shamsher Malla, Principal Dr. Anuradha Pundeer Malla, and Vice Principal Archana, whose encouragement added to the spirit of the occasion.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by the rendition of the school song and a vibrant cultural dance performance, setting an energetic and inspiring tone for the festival.
Students from Jaswant Modern Senior Secondary School, Himjyoti School, Subhash Chandra Bose Academy, The Doon Heritage School, The Horizon School, The Indian Academy, and Olympus High participated with great enthusiasm. Day 1 focused on briefing participants about the theme, guidelines, and creative direction, followed by dedicated time for film shooting and execution. On Day 2, students showcased their short films, reflecting remarkable storytelling, teamwork, and technical creativity.
The films revolved around engaging themes such as “Standing for Each Other (Friendship),” “Serene Nature,” and “Learning and Life – My Experiences with Teachers,” bringing forth a blend of emotional depth, inspiration, and youthful perspectives.
Addressing the gathering, Managing Director Dr. Kunal Shamsher Malla appreciated the participants for their innovative approach and encouraged students to continue exploring creative mediums as a powerful form of expression.
The festival concluded with a felicitation ceremony, followed by the Vote of Thanks delivered by Principal Dr. Anuradha Pundeer Malla, marking the successful culmination of a vibrant and enriching inter-school event.
