
‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ Conferred Upon Mr. Sharad Chaudhary*
*Nagpur, April 20:* The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) is set to celebrate National Public Relations Day on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Organized by the Nagpur Chapter of PRSI, this National Public Relations Day ceremony will feature Mr. Gajanan Nimdev, Information Commissioner (Nagpur Division, Government of Maharashtra), as the Chief Guest.
The event will be graced by the presence of special guests: Mr. Vinayak Mahamuni (IAS), Chief Executive Officer of the Nagpur Zilla Parishad; and Mrs. Shivani Dani Wakhre, Chairperson of the Standing Committee, Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Mr. S. P. Singh, National Vice President (West) of PRSI, will preside over the program.
The theme for this year’s National Public Relations Day is “Public Relations: The Fifth Pillar of Democracy.”
During the ceremony, Mr. Sharad Chaudhary—former Director of Information and Public Relations—will be honored with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” in recognition of his significant contributions and guidance within the field.
Additionally, Mr. Akhilesh Halve, Deputy General Manager of Public Relations at the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation, will be felicitated as the best “Public Relations Officer of the Year.”
Mr. Yashwant Mohite, Chairman of the PRSI Nagpur Chapter, and Mr. Manish Soni, Secretary, have urged students of public relations, media professionals, writers, and artists to participate in the event in large numbers. Joint Secretary Mr. Prasan Srivastava, Treasurer Mr. Sharad Marathe, Executive Committee members Mr. Anil Gadekar, Mr. Madhusudan Deshmukh, Mr. Amit Bajpai and other members are working tirelessly to ensure the success of this program.
