KAR 151/7 in 20 overs: Suchith digs out a good yorker by Natarajan at long on for a couple. SIX!  Length outside off and Suchith open his arms and slices it over deep point for a six. Yorker again and Suchith just gets a single at sweeper cover. Dubey collects a couple at wide long of, digging out the yorker again. OUT! Length again from Natarajan but Dubey drives uppish and hands a catch to cover. OUT! Suchith drives straight and is run out trying to steal a third run.

KAR 138/5 in 19 overs: FOUR! Dubey goes inside out over cover off Warrier’s length ball. SIX! This was in the slot outside off and Dubey smashes the half-volley wide long off. Good comeback with a slower in swinger that beats Dubey. FOUR! Room again off side and swatted away by Dubey between point and cover. Good yorker next ball. A couple for Dubey at deep square leg to end the over. 16 runs from that over and the Karnataka dugout has finally something to cheer for.

KAR 122/5 in 18 overs: FOUR! Slotted full by Natarajan and Suchit deftly opens the face to guide it behind point. Natarajan really struggling with his line here. Two back to back wides again. Jams in the yorkers but well-negotiated by the batters. Vijay Shankar walks off the field after hurting his finger while fielding.

KAR 109/5 in 17 overs: OUT! Manohar holes out at mid off trying to slog a length ball from Warrier. The bat twirls in his hand and he is livid with himself.

KAR 102/4 in 16 overs: Sanjay Yadav bowls a tight final over of his quote, giving away just two wides and four singles.

KAR 96/4 in 15 overs: FOUR! Dubey cuts Ashwin sharply just outside off and past point. Dubey misses the googly trying to play an expansive drive on front foot. Keeper appeals for a stumping but replay confirms that the back foot was firmly planted.

KAR 89/4 in 14 overs: OUT! Sai Kishore strikes again. Bowled it very wide on off and Sharath stepped out to reach it and got the top edge that looped to point. Good take by Sudharsan. Three runs and a wicket and Sai Kishore bowls out. What a spell it has been – three for 12 in four overs.

KAR 86/3 in 13 overs: FOUR! In the slot on off stump by Natarajan and squeezed away to deep point by Manohar. Eight runs from the over.

KAR 78/3 in 12 overs: Full-toss on leg and Manohar steps out to slog it but doesn’t get it from the middle of the bat and it lands just short of deep mid wicket; just one run. SIX! Pitched up by Ashwin and Sharath steps out to take it as a half-volley and smack it over deep mid wicket.

KAR 70/3 in 11 overs: Warrier comes back into the attack and concedes just three singles. Bowls a good length just outside off and mixes it up with a yorker and a slower one.

KAR 67/3 in 10 overs: FOUR! Short on off and Manohar slaps it to the long off boundary. Ten runs from the over and Natarajan struggles with his line and length. A couple of wides and bowls a predictable back of length on off stump.

KAR 57/3 in 9 overs: SIX! Loose full-toss by Ashwin and Manohar clubs it straight for a maximum. Takes a singles at long on next ball. 10 from the over as Ashwin keeps it to four singles after the first ball six.

KAR 47/3 in 8 overs: FOUR! Sharath sweeps Sanjay Yadav crisply to the square leg boundary. Loud appeal for caught behind next ball as Sharath looks to cut at point. FOUR! Cheeky from Monahar. Slightly full and he paddles sweeps it to fine leg.

KAR 37/3 in 7 overs: Murugan Ashwin rolls his arm over and gives away just three singles. Bowls a tight line on off stump.

KAR 34/3 in 6 overs: Sai Kishore gets a third inside the first six. Sharath has joined Pandey. GONE! Sai Kishore, you beauty! Cleans up Pandey this time. Terrific bowling. Abhinav Manohar joins Sharath. Two runs and a wicket from that over.

KAR 32/2 in 5 overs: Sanjay Yadav into his second. TN spinners have not given Karnataka batters too many loose balls in the PowerPlay. Sanjay drops one short, Nair rocks back and pulls it away for four. GONE! Nair is clean bowled next ball, trying to play the slog sweep!

KAR 23/1 in 4 overs: Sai Kishore continues. Excellent from the left-arm spinner. Just two runs off his second over.

KAR 21/1 in 3 overs:More spin. Sanjay Yadav to roll his arm. Slip in place. Nair sweeps one away for four. Seven from Yadav’s first. He didn’t get as much turn as Sai Kishore.

KAR 14/1 in 2 overs: Spin from the other end. R Sai Kishore into the attack. GONE! Kadam is clean bowled first ball! Karu Nair joins Pandey. A slip in place for the new batter. Nair opens his account with three runs. Five runs and a wicket.

KAR 9/0 in 1 over: Sandeep Warrier with the new ball. Rohan Kadam and Manish Pandey at the crease. Pandey gets off the mark with a pull shot for four. And another one – this time through the off-side for four more. Nine off the first over.
