Realme on Wednesday, May 8 announced the comeback of their flagship smartphone the Realme GT series, this month in India. The GT series is the brand’s flagship smartphone in the mid-premium segment, and the company will be bringing its 6th generation to India after two years.
“After two years, realme is bringing the highly anticipated 6th generation of the GT Series to India in the brand’s 6th year. This time, as an important approach into India’s mid-high end market breakthrough, realme’s emphasis is squarely on smartphone performance, earning it the title of “Top Performer”,” the company stated in a press release.
The company made this announcement to mark the brand’s sixth anniversary and is expected to bring much more to the table with the GT series.
According to the company, the previous GT series pioneered industry-first features like the bio-based polymer paper tech master design featured in Realme GT 2 Pro, the world’s first 2K AMOLED flat display, and additionally, the world’s first 150W charging flagship in Realme GT NEO 3, coupled with one of India’s first Dimensity 8100 5G processors.
Earlier on Tuesday, May 7, Sky Li, founder and CEO, Realme, in an X post (former Twitter) also confirmed the return of the Realme GT series to India.
“As we mark our 6-year anniversary, we’re excited to reveal the return of our most loved flagship series the 6th generation of GT Series-soon. Our aim is to target the mid-premium market segment, delivering flagship-level performance to our customers. The GT is making a comeback, infused with ambition, attitude, and confidence,” Li said.

The company, however, haven’t revealed what specifications will be featured in the Realme GT 6 series but it is expected to deliver at a flagship level. Currently, in India Realme’s GT Neo 3 and GT 2 Pro are available for purchase.
