India home ODIs 2026-27: Cities where Rohit and Kohli will play

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s international home schedule for 2026-27. The Men in Blue are set to welcome West Indies, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and Australia for series across formats. 

With the 2027 Cricket World Cup being the next major ICC event, a lot of focus will be on India’s as well as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s preparations ahead of possibly their final 50-over World Cup. Over the course of next 12 months, One Day International (ODI) will take centre stage once the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season comes to a close. 

During their upcoming home season, India will be playing nine ODIs, three against each of West Indies, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. The two-time World Cup winners will be playing all over the country to give fans glimpses of their batting heroes before they eventually hang up their boots from international cricket. 

Here are the lists of cities that will host home ODIs for India during the 2026-27 season:

West Indies tour of India (3 ODIs)

The West Indies are set to travel to India to play a white-ball tour in late September where they will compete in three ODIs and five T20Is. The tour commences with the ODI series on Sunday, September 27 at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

The squad will then travel to the North East to the state of Assam for the 2nd ODI which will be hosted by the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday, September 30. Three days later, the two sides will compete in the final ODI of the series in New Chandigarh at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium.

Sri Lanka tour of India (3 ODIs)

Like West Indies, Sri Lanka are also scheduled to tour India for a white-ball only series comprising three ODIs and three T20Is. Two of the three ODIs would be considered as Kohli’s home grounds – Delhi and Bengaluru.

The series begins on Sunday, December 13 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The second ODI is set to take place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday, December 16. The iconic venue will see the return of international cricket following the stampede outside the ground following RCB’s title win. Apart from the ODI against Sri Lanka, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium will also play host to a T20I versus West Indies.

The final ODI between the two neighbouring countries will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, December 19.

Zimbabwe tour of India (3 ODIs)

In a historic moment, Zimbabwe are set to tour India for the first time since 2002. It will be 25 years since they last visited these shores when they toured to play in two Test matches and a five ODIs, a series which India narrowly won 3-2.

The African outfit will travel to India for a three-match ODI series in early 2027. The first ODI will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, January 3. The two sides will then travel down south to Hyderabad for the second ODI on Wednesday, January 6 before ending the series on the shores of Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, January 9.
