A senior executive of China Evergrande New Energy Vehicle Group has been detained on suspicion of crimes, the latest blow to the company after a deal for a potential cash injection lapsed last week.
Evergrande NEV said in a Hong Kong exchange filing Monday that Liu Yongzhuo, an executive director and vice chairman, was detained “in accordance with the law on suspicion of illegal crimes.”
