Noida: Mob Assaults Couple For Feeding Stray Dogs After Canine Bites 6-Year-Old – VIDEO

A distressing incident unfolded in Noida’s Sector 70, where a mob allegedly attacked a young couple known for feeding stray dogs in the area. The episode transpired on May 2 after one of the stray dogs attacked a six-year-old girl within the society premises. Initial reports suggested that the child sustained serious injuries, but her condition stabilised later the same day.

According to reports, in the aftermath of the incident, enraged residents protested against the presence of dog feeders in society, prompting them to seek police intervention.

However, matters escalated when the irate mob turned their aggression towards the young dog-feeders, identified as Shubham and Sankalita, and even assaulted the police officers who responded to the scene, as reported by News 18.

Here’s What Exactly Happened

According to the report, the couple recounted the ordeal, highlighting how members of the mob manhandled an on-duty constable and attempted to disable security cameras. “One of them tried to snatch my wife’s phone while she was recording the incident and ended up injuring her,” Shubham revealed, as reported by News 18, adding that some of their friends, who arrived to offer support, were also subjected to physical intimidation, as captured in the video.

People For Animals Reacts

In response, People For Animals (PFA) took to their X handle, condemning the violence and urging immediate action against the perpetrators. “A violent mob at Pan Oasis, Sector 70 Noida, defied the law as it attacked a young couple who feed & care for community dogs. Even Police were pushed around & assaulted. Immediate action is requested against the rioters,” it said in X post.

In a separate viral video, administrative staff were seen instructing security guards to prevent stray dogs from entering the society premises and to remove any dogs found within. Guards were warned that failure to comply would result in dismissal.

While an official complaint has been lodged, according to reports, no FIR has been registered yet.
