10 जुलाई 2025 से गुजरात केवड़िया में आयोजित Vice Chancellors’ Conference में देश भर के केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालयों के 50 से अधिक कुलपति एक मंच पर एकत्र हुए, जिसका उद्घाटन केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री श्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान ने किया।
इस महत्त्वपूर्ण सम्मेलन में हेमवती नंदन बहुगुणा गढ़वाल विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो. श्रीप्रकाश सिंह ने भी सक्रिय सहभागिता की। उन्होंने “विकसित भारत 2047” की दिशा में एनईपी 2020 के प्रभावी कार्यान्वयन पर विचार साझा किए।
श्री प्रधान ने सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए बताया कि NEP 2020 अब केवल नीति नहीं, बल्कि “पंच संकल्प” के रूप में एक प्रेरक शक्ति है—अगली पीढ़ी की शिक्षा, बहु-विषयकता, नवाचार, समग्रता और भारतीयता।
उन्होंने उच्च शिक्षा में 50% GER लक्ष्य, छात्र-प्रथम दृष्टिकोण, बहु-विषयक पाठ्यक्रम, डिजिटल लर्निंग, IKS और समानता पर केंद्रित सुधारों की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया।
पहले दिन की चर्चाएँ रणनीतिक योजना, कार्यबल विकास, डिजिटल रूपांतरण, समावेशिता और वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धा को केंद्र में रखकर हुईं। इस अवसर पर यह भी तय किया गया कि प्रत्येक विश्वविद्यालय NEP 2020 के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन के लिए अपना रणनीति पत्र तैयार करेगा।
यह सम्मेलन भारत की उच्च शिक्षा प्रणाली को सशक्त, समावेशी और वैश्विक स्तर पर प्रतिस्पर्धी बनाने की दिशा में एक मील का पत्थर साबित हो रहा है।
The Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Central University of Gujrat organized the two days conference on 10-11th July 2025 with the aim to review, assess, and strategize the implementation of NEP 2020 since its inception. The conference was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.
In his inaugural address, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said that NEP is no longer just a policy but a driving force in the form of Panch Sankalpa of NEP 2020 – Next generation education, Multidisciplinary education, Innovative education, Holistic education, and Bhartiya education. He emphasized the need to raise the GER in higher education to 50% by 2035 by taking reforms in the critical areas such as redesigning curricula, building digital systems, training faculty and promoting multidisciplinary approaches. He also talked about Students-First approach, Multidisciplinary curriculum, Digital learning, IKS, and Equity in higher education. He called upon the participating Vice Chancellors to prepare a strategy paper for full implementation of NEP 2020 in university.
Vice Chancellor of HNB Garhwal University, Prof Shri Prakash Singh actively participated in the important conference. He expressed his views on effective implementation of NEP 2020 in line with the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.
Discussions on the first day focused on strategic planning, workforce development, digital transformation, inclusivity, and global competitiveness. The discussions over two-days are expected to broadly cover three key areas, Strategic implementation, Peer learning and knowledge exchange, and Forward Planning and Readiness.
This conference will be a milestone in shaping the future of higher education in India and advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
