The June Quarter of Nykaa recorded a profit surge of 33 per cent YoY to Rs 4.55 crore against Rs 3.41 crore in the same quarter the previous year. The revenue for this quarter saw a rise of 41 per cent YoY to Rs 1,148.4 crore as against Rs 817 crore in the June quarter of last year. As per a statement by Nykaa, its EBITDA for this quarter was up by 71 per cent YoY to Rs 46 crore, while the EBITDA margin also improved to 4 per cent as opposed to 3.3 per cent last year.
The gross profit margin also saw an improvement of 380 base points YoY in the first quarter of the fiscal year of 2023. The company’s gross merchandise value (GMV) also recorded an increase of 47 per cent YoY to Rs 2,155.8 crore.
Nykaa’s consolidated GMV has been steadily growing at a 3-year CAGR of 61 per cent. The GMV of brands owned comprised 11.2 per cent of the total GMV.
Apart from the several digital platforms, Nykaa has 112 physical across 52 cities. Internationally, the brand is expanding its network to countries in UAE, Mauritius, and the US.
