“Saints like Baba Neem Karoli take birth on Planet Earth once in a millennium (Yugas). Only such an exalted saint has the extraordinary power to infuse life into a deceased person.”- Sri Devraha Baba Sri Devraha Baba is one of the greatest yogis in the history of India. His life is shrouded in mystery; it is estimated that he lived for over 250 years.
Devarha Baba, who was also called “The Eternal Yogi” was a contemporary of Neem Karoli Baba. Paying a rich tribute to Maharajji, Devraha Baba once said that saints like Baba Neem Karoli incarnate on Planet Earth once in a blue moon.
Only such an exalted saint has the rare power to infuse life into a dead person. In this context, the Gita has a beautiful verse: यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत |अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ||“O descendent of Bharata, whenever there is a decline in dharma and a rise of adharma, I personally appear in human form.” (Gita 4:7)This verse clarifies that there is no fixed time frame for the Lord’s incarnation.
In fact, whenever there is an increase in unrighteousness and diminishing of righteousness, the Supreme Lord manifests Himself to re-establish goodness and dharma. Here the word dharma, which means righteousness, does not imply ordinary righteousness as applies to the mundane actions in life.
Here dharma applies to the deterioration of bhakti-yoga or the science of the individual consciousness attaining communion with the universal consciousness by the means of devotion. When the path of devotion to God is opposed by unrighteous rulers, God manifests Himself personally.
It is stated in the Ramayana that one of the reasons for incarnation of Lord Vishnu was that the Earth was unable to bear the burden of evil, sinful persons who were averse to devotion to the Lord. Jai Babaji
