Golf, schedules and tournaments of the week

In the week from 21 to 27 November the golf events are always many and interesting, even with both the Female and Male Major Tours they will be on break for this week. The LPGA has just finished the last event of the 2022 season, while the PGA Tour gives space to the double leg of the DP World Tour (and PGA Australia), to resume the following week, from 1 to 4 December with the Hero World Challenge.

DP World Tour – Fortinet Australian PGA Championship The Fortinet Australian PGA Championship returns to the DP World Tour calendar, thanks to the strategic agreement signed with the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia last January, which will last until 2026.

The tournament takes place at the Royal Queensland Golf Club in Brisbane for the fourth consecutive time since 2020 and sees 156 players on the field. The last time it took place here was last January (as a tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia), when Jediah Morgan took his first career win.

He did it in style, beating his Australian colleague Andrew Dodt with an 11-stroke lead. Defending champion Morgan will be on the field this week to defend his title and his home flag. The last time the event was part of the DP World Tour (then European Tour) calendar was in 2019, when another Australian, former world number 1 Adam Scott, won it for the second time after.
