Arsenal vs Liverpool: Reds Remain Top Of Table But Premier League Title Race Gets Intense
Even though Reds remain on top of the table, the result has intensified the Premier League title race with three teams closing in on it. While Liverpool had a chance to further take a massive step towards the title and go eight points clear of the Gunners, they now find the Arsenal catching up who are closely followed by Manchester City with 46 points. More importantly, City have played two matches less and have accumulated those points in 21 matches.
Other than their goals, Arsenal’s defence was spot on especially in the latter half of the match. Between their second and the third goals, Gunners’ defence was practically impregnable and they did not show any nerves either as they closed in on an famous win in front of a packed home stadium.
