Dehradun: Tula’s International School celebrated its 11th Annual Sports Day within the school premises today. The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest, Trivendra Singh Rawat, Member of Parliament and Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, and the Guest of Honour, Sahdev Singh Pundir, Member of the Legislative Assembly. Also present were Meeta Singh, District President of BJP, and renowned industrialist Dr. K. S. Panwar. They were joined by Vice Chairman of Tula’s International, Raunak Jain, Vice President of Technology, Dr. Raghav Garg, and Headmaster Raman Koushal.
The program began with the inauguration of the school’s new swimming pool site. In a special moment, the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and other dignitaries unveiled the statue of First CDS of India, Late General Bipin Singh Rawat, in tribute to his leadership, patriotism, and valor. The ceremony also included a heartfelt felicitation of the dignitaries for their contributions.
In his address, Trivendra Singh Rawat delivered an inspiring speech, stressing the importance of hard work, discipline, and resilience in sports and life. He encouraged students to push their limits and emphasized that the best service to the nation is through dedication and patriotism.
Raunak Jain, the Vice Chairman of the school, also addressed the gathering, praising the students for their enthusiasm and commending the school’s holistic approach to education, where physical and mental growth are equally prioritized.
The day proceeded with a series of spirited sports events, including the 4×100 Meter Relay and individual sprints in various categories. The athletes displayed determination and sportsmanship, with Valkyrie House securing first place in the Senior Girls’ 4×100 Meter Relay and Trojan House taking the top spot in the Senior Boys’ Relay. In the individual 100-meter sprints, Valkyrie House’s Ovungroni clinched first place in the Senior Girls’ category, while Titan House’s Ibrahim won the Senior Boys’ race. In the Junior categories, Athena House’s Angel Rathi topped the 100-meter race for Girls, while Trojan House’s Pratyaksh emerged victorious in the Junior Boys’ sprint. The highlight of the day was the Taekwondo Martial Arts Show by Vineet Tetarwal, which wowed the audience with a display of agility and precision.
The program concluded with the presentation of awards for Best March Past and Outstanding Athlete. Trojan House (Boys) and Athena House (Girls) received the Best March Past award, while the Best Mass PT award went to Valkyrie House and Olympian House. The Head Girl delivered a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, teachers, and dignitaries. The day ended on a high note with the National Anthem, celebrating a memorable day of sportsmanship and unity.
In the overall trophy standings, Trojan House triumphed in the Boys’ category with 122 points, while Athena House emerged victorious in the Girls’ category with 146 points.
