Dehradun: In an inspiring move to steer India towards becoming a technologically self-reliant and developed nation, the two-day tech fest ‘Utkrisht 2024’ kicked off at Tula’s Institute, Dehradun. Themed ‘Ek Kadam Viksit Bharat Ki Aur’ (A Step Towards a Developed India), the event embodies the aspirations and objectives of India’s youth and the tech community.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Chief Guest L.C. Mangal, Director of DRDO (Ministry of Defence, Government of India). In his opening address, LC Mangal highlighted India’s remarkable progress in science and technology and its potential to emerge as a global superpower. He urged students to adopt discipline and dedication in their academic pursuits, motivating them to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth.
Adding to the occasion was a live interactive session with Silky Jain Marwah, Executive Director of Tula’s Group, who inspired participants with her thoughtful insights and words of encouragement.
The event also witnessed the presence of dignitaries, including Dr. Sandeep Vijay Director, Tula’s Institute, Dr. Vijay Kumar Upadhyay Registrar, Dr. Nishant Saxena, Dean Academics, Dr. Sunil Semwal, Dean R&D, and Dr. Sanjay Sharma Dean Student Welfare along with heads of departments and faculty members.
The first day of Utkrisht 2024 featured a host of technical events that demonstrated participants’ creativity and expertise. Events like CAD MAD Plot provided a platform for showcasing innovation in engineering design, while CESIM – Business Investment Strategies challenged participants with a business simulation competition fostering entrepreneurial thinking. Electromaze, a circuit design event, attracted electronics enthusiasts, while Appathon offered developers an opportunity to create user-friendly and innovative apps. The UI/UX Design Competition delved into creative interface and experience design. The ingenuity and enthusiasm of the participants left the audience spellbound, showcasing the potential of India’s youth to propel the nation toward technological excellence.
The second day of the fest promises to be even more dynamic, featuring inspiring talks, robotics competitions, advanced technical workshops, and engaging activities. Utkrisht 2024 not only serves as a platform for education and innovation but also lays the groundwork for India’s leap into a future of technological brilliance.
