4th October 2021, Dehradun: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Tula’s International School hosted a friendly cricket match between Students and Teachers. The Chief Guest on the occasion was BCCI – NCA coach and former Ranji Trophy Player Sanjeev Jakhmola.
The program commenced with the floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by the Chief Guest and all the dignitaries. Students won the toss and decided to bat first. They created a massive score of 244 runs, which was well chased by the teachers. However, all wickets were taken by the students at a score of 177 runs.
The student’s team won the match by 67 runs. Mihir Manohir outshined all the players scoring 143 runs not out and was declared the Man of the Match. The Best Fielder’s Award was given to Aryan Singh who was also the captain of the team, whereas the Best Bowler award was bagged by Aditya Raj.
The Chief Guest, Sanjeev Jakhmola, gave away the awards to the winners. He also shared a few valuable tips with the students, which would go a long way in helping them become national and international players.
The Director of the school, Raunak Jain, and Principal Shalini Sharma congratulated the winners and the school’s Sports Department for a well-conducted program.
