Olympus High Holds Annual Singing and Dance Competition

 The annual Singing and Dance competition at Olympus High School took place today, showcasing the  talent and enthusiasm of the students across a variety of performances.

The dance competition featured a wide array of styles, including classical, contemporary, and hip-hop, among others. The judging panel consisted of Namita Mohan Joshi, Namrata Naithani Joshi, and Prity Thapa.

The winners of the competition were divided into different groups, with Anshika Baliyan securing first place in Group A, followed by Vinmayi Semwal in second. In Group B, Agrima Sharma claimed first place, while Suhani Thapa took second and a tie for third position was awarded to Vanya Tewari and Dhruvika Chitkara. Group C saw Ashmita taking first, Soumya Pant in second, and a tie for third between Dia Ghai and Ananya Bharti. Group D’s top spot went to Navita Kunwar, with Arav Kathayat in second. In Group E, Kanchan Rawat was crowned first, Aahana Malla took second, and Kavya Kashyap earned third.

In addition to the exciting dance performances, the annual singing competition provided students with an opportunity to display their vocal abilities before a supportive audience. The judges for the event were Shrishti Kala, Shivani Bhagwat, and Liyakat Ali. The event began with a traditional lighting of the lamp by the judges, followed by a brief introduction of each judge by the host. The participants performed with great enthusiasm, filling the atmosphere with the beauty of music.

A highlight of the event was a special performance by the Managing Director, Dr. Kunal Shamshere Malla, who captivated the audience with a soulful rendition of ‘Shirdi Waaley Sai Baba.’ The judges also surprised the audience with their own musical talents, further enhancing the lively spirit of the competition.

The prize distribution ceremony followed, where the winners of the singing competition were announced. In Group A, Mantra Yadav took first place and Swastika Singh placed second. In Group B, Medhawat Yadav claimed first, Kavya Jain took second, and a tie for third place was awarded to Aarush Thapa and Adhyansh Mishra. Group C’s first prize went to Sakshi Sati, with Kushagra Lekhak in second. In Group D, Ahana Malla secured first place and Mariyam Malik took second.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from both the Managing Director, Dr. Kunal Shamshere Malla, and Principal Dr. Anuradha Pundir Malla, who expressed their admiration for the participants’ outstanding performances. They congratulated all the students for their hard work and dedication and wished them success in their future endeavors as performers.
