The ex-servicemen of Indian Air Force (IAF) can plan an important role in training youth in remote villages of Uttarakhand in skill development and agriculture development. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Air Vice-Marshal O.P. Tewari of Indian Air Force (IAF) had discussion on various issues related with coordination between IAF and state government at Chief Ministers’ residence on Thursday.

Air Vice-Marshal O.P.Tewari, VSM, Director General, Air Force Naval Housing Board informed Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat that 30 lakh ex-servicemen of Indian Air Force (IAF) are living in 700 districts of the country. There are large number of IAF ex-servicemen living in Uttarakhand also.

The ex-servicemen who had excellent experience, training, knowledge and information could help in training youth in far flung and remote villages in different skill development. The Air Vice- Marshal also showed interest in agricultural development in rural areas of the state through ex-servicemen.

The Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Air Vice Marshal also discussed the issue of allotment of left out of 30 flats out of total 807 flats of Air Force Naval Housing Board to general public and construction of security wall of the river bank along the housing flats. The Chief Minister Mr Trivendra Singh Rawat also assured all support from the stte government to Air Vice- Marshal. Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh was also present on the occasion.
