Kolkata Doctor Rape And Murder Case: The former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandeep Ghosh, on Wednesday moved the Supreme Court against the Calcutta High Court order transferring investigation in the corruption case against him to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). On August 23, the High Court had ordered the transfer of the probe into the alleged financial irregularities at RG Kar hospital, where the incident of brutal rape and murder of a doctor occured. Earlier, the case was with a Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by West Bengal government. The High Court tranfered the case.
The Supreme Court will hear the case on September 6.
