A cordon and search operation was launched by the security forces in the Kulnar Bazipora area of Bandipora district following information about the presence of the ultras in the area, the officials said, reported PTI.Â
The search operation turned into an encounter after the ultras opened fire on security personnel, they added.Â
No casualties have been reported so far in the incident.Â
