
In a tragic incident in Rajasthan’s Tonk district, eight men from Jaipur drowned in the Banas River on Tuesday during a picnic. According to police officials, the victims, all hailing from Jaipur, were visiting the river for a picnic when the accident occurred.
Eight men drown after slipping into deep water
As per Superintendent of Police, Tonk, Vikas Sangwan, the group of 11 men, aged between 25 and 30 years, entered the river to bathe. However, things took a devastating turn when they slipped into deep water.
“They were taken out and rushed to a hospital where doctors declared eight of them dead,” he said.
Three men were rescued and are currently in stable condition, according to police officials. The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed as families are being notified.
Children drown in Gujarat’s Meshwo river

A spiritual trip ended in tragedy when a group of seven pilgrims from Gujarat’s Jamnagar drowned while taking a holy dip in the Gomti river near Devbhoomi Dwarka.
